So much of South America fills this 13- day trip. The exciting city of Buenos Aires, the thunder and mist of dramatic waterfalls, wine tasting and touring, the viewing of ancient glaciers, a leisurely sail down a river delta – and more.
After breakfast, we will be starting our tour early in the morning as we leave Mendoza in the direction of the Chacras, the so-called “cradle of Malbec”. Cycling to two important bodegas, bilingual guides will lead us through the differing histories as well as the production and cultivation processes of each bodega before tasting some of Mendoza´s famous wines. Having finished both visits we will return to the city of Mendoza. Night in Mendoza.

After breakfast, you will start the wine tour that includes visiting three iconic bodegas. As winemaking reflects much of Argentina’s history you will be able to learn about the origins of local wine making, the impact of the first immigrants that settled in the area, the development of the wine industry and the innovation implemented by the latest generations of Mendoza´s winemakers. During the tour you will learn about three different ways of evaluating (“elaborating”) high-quality wines. Accompanied by a specialized guide you will be able to explore each of the three bodegas in detail. Wine tasting is included in every winery. After the tour, you will be taken back to your hotel.
