Day 1: Buenos Aires

Welcome to Argentina!

Upon your arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day to enjoy at your own pace.
Buenos Aires is a marvelous and furious cosmopolitan city, full of colors and different kinds of architecture. Capital of Argentina and described as the Paris of South America, Buenos Aires proudly embraces this title, as well as showing off plenty of its own culture!
Argentines are usually eager to host visitors: if you walk the streets with a map, someone will surely stop and ask if you need directions. That’s our spirit! So, for this first day, feel free to wander the cobblestone streets lined with outdoor cafes, enjoy the mouthwatering aroma of prized Argentine beef sizzling on an open “parrilla” (barbecue) and browse the local antique and artisan markets that offer plenty of bargain shopping. And to travel deeper and have a firm grip of the Argentine spirit, find the perfect leather jacket or handbag (Buenos Aires is home to some excellent local designers) and explore the colorful Palermo Soho neighborhoods.

At the appropriate time, you will go on your own to the starting point of the tour.

On this tour, we will discover the art that is expressed in the streets of San Telmo, La Boca, and Barracas. Murals, interventions with various techniques, colors everywhere, and artists that emerge in a city in constant movement and transformation. At the end of the tour, we will return to the starting point. From there, you will have to return by yourself to the hotel.

Day 2: Buenos Aires

● Half Day City Tour
Today you will be picked up at your hotel to explore Buenos Aires’s major tourist attractions on this tour that hits all of the highlights of this cultural metropolis. Guided by a knowledgeable guide, learn about Porteño’s lifestyle, vibrant culture, and music.
We will visit important historical monuments on your way to Plaza de Mayo and take a moment to admire significant buildings such as the Casa Rosada or the Congress.
We will experience the European flair that has given the city its fame strolling around eclectic neighborhoods; from antique San Telmo and colorful working-class La Boca to fancy and chic Recoleta with its famous Cemetery, representing the elegant and historical Buenos Aires and containing the graves of many Argentina’s emblematic figures, such as Eva Peron.
At the end of the tour, you will have a transfer back to your hotel.

At night, you will be taken to a local family’s home, to enjoy a typical “asado” (barbeque). This traditional Argentine BBQ is not just a meal; it’s a social event!
Although it’s usually held on Sundays or for a special occasion, Argentines will tell you that any excuse can and will do! The slow cooking of the meat over the hot wooden embers allows plenty of time for catching up with family and friends, sipping wine, and enjoying the distinct aroma of the BBQ. If you wish, you can help with the preparation of the meal and learn the ins and outs of slow cooking over the fire.
During this true feast, you will enjoy an array of sausages and meat cuts, drink red wine (usually Malbec) and finish off with a traditional dessert of flan with dulce de leche or any local dessert. The grill itself is called a parrilla and is usually located in a quincho, a structure where cooking and eating takes place. This is a great chance to experience dining with a local family while getting a glimpse into the everyday life of Argentines. Practice your Spanish and BBQ’ing skills and make friends along the way. After the meal, you will be taken back to your hotel.

Day 4: Bariloche

● Half-Day Brazo Tristeza Navigation
At the specified time, we will pick you up from the hotel to go to Puerto Pañuelo, where we will board a boat and sail along the Brazo Tristeza, the least visited branch of Lake Nahuel Huapi. It is surrounded by an impressive landscape of mountains and waterfalls.

At the end of the lake, we will disembark for a nature-oriented hike through a dense Patagonian rainforest. The path follows the Frey stream and leads us to the beautiful Frey waterfall. On the way back, you can enjoy a delicious lunch on board or on land (not included).

We will then sail back to the port and take you back to the hotel.

● Half-Day History and Nature
At the appropriate time, we will pick you up at your hotel to enjoy an active excursion along the classic circuit of San Carlos de Bariloche.

While visiting stunning viewpoints of the area, such as Campanario Hill and Llao-Llao Hotel, the guide will explain how this little mountain village has got to be one of the most attractive tourist towns in Patagonia.

We will enjoy the beauty of Moreno and Nahuel Huapi lakes, as well as Lopez and Capilla mountains. We will also go for a nature-oriented walk through the Llao-llao Nature Park to discover an impressive forest of Arrayanes trees. The tour finishes with a visit to a local microbrewery for lunch, with Beer Tasting.

At the end of the tour, we will take you back to your hotel.

Day 5: Bariloche

Day at leisure to enjoy the magnificent scenery of Bariloche. Visit a chocolate factory, walk along the lakeshore, or take one of the many optional tours available in the area

Day 6: Bariloche/ El Calafate

Welcome to Southern Patagonia!
The town of El Calafate is located in the Patagonian steppe, an extreme and deserted place with an amazing landscape.

It is on the border of Lago Argentino (Argentina’s biggest lake) and it is considered the capital of the glaciers. It is the gateway to visit the world-renowned Perito Moreno Glacier, one of the only glaciers in the world that is still advancing.

Upon arrival at El Calafate, you will be met at the airport and transferred to your hotel.
Duration: 5/6 hours.
Walking time: 1hs.

Day 7: Bariloche

● Full-Day Mayo Spirit Trek
We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning to take you to Los Glaciares National Park, located 80 km from El Calafate. There we will set sail from the Port of Punta Bandera in the Cruz del Sur vessel, immediately entering the Canal de los Témpanos of Lake Argentino.

The first landing will be in Bahía Toro. Accompanied by the guide, we will take an interpretive walk through the Patagonian Andean forest until we reach the waterfall. From the shore of the lake, we will be able to observe the hanging glaciers of Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro. We will return to the boat and, in just 15 more minutes of navigation, we will arrive at the next stop. (Total walking distance: 700m approx. / Difficulty: low, flat terrain.)

We will disembark at Cerro Negro, where we will begin a walk into the Patagonian Andean forest. We will go bordering a river that will take us to the Hill. We will arrive a few meters from the base, from where we will be able to contemplate the wonderful Black Glacier; a “hanging” glacier from which a large number of waterfalls are born that give rise to the river that we were bordering. We will remain in this place, observing the incredible landscape around us. Then, we will return to the boat that will take us to our next destination. (Total walking distance: 1,000m approx. / Difficulty: medium, gentle slope.)

Returning to navigation, we will leave Seno Mayo of Lake Argentino to navigate again through the Canal de los Témpanos. In a few minutes, we will begin to see the north wall of the Perito Moreno glacier. We will disembark in Puerto Perito Moreno to go to the catwalks, which are in front of the glacier. There we will have free time to walk and observe the glacier from the different balconies.

At the time set by the guide, we will return to Puerto Perito Moreno to re-embark and return to the initial place of departure, the Punta Bandera Port. Upon disembarking, you will take the transfer back to your hotel in El Calafate.

Day 8: El Calafate

Day 9: El Calafate/ Ushuaia

● Transfer Ushuaia Airport / Ushuaia Hotel
Welcome to Ushuaia!

Ushuaia is a small town, really easy to get around on foot. The Yamanas, its first inhabitants, called it Ushuaia which means ‘protected bay’ in their language. It was officially incorporated into the Republic of Argentina in 1884, and it soon became a penal colony, in order to establish a permanent Argentine settlement.

Upon arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.

According on your arrival time, you can explore the town or visit one of its curious museums, like the Thematic Gallery of the Historia Fueguina, to see the more than 120 character life-size figures that will tell you all about the history of Ushuaia, or unearth the story of the scariest and dangerous criminals at the Prison Museum.

And please, don’t forget the local gastronomy! Ushuaia is the best place to eat seafood. We suggest you try the finger-licking Blake Hake.

Day 10: Ushuaia

● Full-Day Trekking & Canoeing in the National Park
In the morning, we will pick you up at your hotel to take a tour of the Tierra del Fuego National Park, which is home to beautiful natural landscapes.

After traveling 10 km we will arrive and hike an 4-mile-long undulating coastal path. As you continue to walk down this path you will be in constant contact with nature and will be able to admire beautiful views from the lakes, sea and surrounding mountains.

After the hike, near the banks of the Lapataia river, we will enjoy a comforting hot lunch with a great panoramic view from inside a heated dome.

Afterwards, you will be equipped with rubber boots, coverpants and lifejackets. The excursion will continue from Lake Acigami down the freshwater of Lapataia river aboard inflatable canoes (duckies) until reaching the sea in Lapataia Bay. The tour will end at the mentioned bay, where the National Route Nº 3 meet its southern end.

From there, you will be driven back to your hotel.

Day 11: Ushuaia

● Half Day Catamaran Navigation through the Beagle Channel
Today we will pick you up at your hotel and take you to the tourist pier to embark on a catamaran navigation.

We will set sail towards the Beagle Channel, enjoying the panoramic view of the Ushuaia coast as we navigate away. You will be able to see the most important buildings such as the Maritime Museum (former prison), the End of the World Museum, the industrial area, and the Olivia and Cinco Hermanos mountains.

We will sail southwest, arriving at Sea Lions Island where, from the boat, you will be able to spot sea lions in their permanent habitat.
Continuing the navigation, the boat will head towards Birds Island, the habitat of Magellanic cormorants and Imperial cormorants, and a privileged sector to spot specimens of marine birds.

Later we will go around the Les Eclaireurs Lighthouse, in the archipelago of the same name, where the ship Monte Cervantes sank in 1930.

The return will be through the Paso Chico, seeing the Túnel and Fique Ranch, with a view of the imposing frame that Mount Martial and the glacier of the same name give the city.

At the end of the navigation, you will disembark at the port and we will take you back to your hotel.

Day 13: Iguazú

● Full-Day Iguazú Falls Argentine side
Today we will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Iguazú National Park, on the Argentine side. The falls are surrounded by a humid subtropical forest wherethe exuberant vegetation is home to many different species of wildlife. Our guide will help you spot some of them: toucans, parrots and coatis, just to name a few!

Lower and upper walkways weave in and around the falls, permitting up-close and personal experiences with this magnificent spectacle of nature. The Argentine side of the falls is filled with a myriad of paths, and walkways which allow you to have an experience from many different perspectives.

You will also have the chance to visit the “Devil’s Throat”; the largest of the falls and for many, the most spellbinding. To get to the Devil’s Throat, you’ll take the ecological train and then walk out along boardwalks.

After walking around and taking pictures of waterfalls, animals and plants, you will have some free time to eat lunch in this amazing environment. This exciting, 7-hour excursion is highly recommended in order to experience the true power of Iguazú Falls!!

Day 14: Iguazú/ Buenos Aires

● Half-Day Iguazú Falls Brazilian side
Today we will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Foz do Iguazú National Park, on the Brazilian side. Don’t forget your passport!
While Argentina has 80% of the falls on its side, Brazil has the best panoramic view. On the Argentinian side, you have the sensation of being right inside the falls, but only by visiting the Brazilian side you will fully appreciate the immensity of Iguazú falls.

At the entrance of the National Park, you will get a bus with accompanied by a guide that will take your to the falls.
Take your time to enjoy it and feel it. Stroll the different walkways and feel the spray of water in your face. Take the boardwalk over the Salto Santa María, it feels like walking on the water! Get closer to the Devil’s Throat and feel the power of water!

Once the tour is over, take the bus that will leave you at the access gate from where you will be driven to your hotel.
